Leapin Liebsters!

Ah, the 3rd grade spelling bee. I remember it like it was yesterday. I proudly spelled “technique” correctly. I don’t mean to brag, but technique is kind of a hard word for an 8 year old. Not many words contain a q. Except for quack, quick, Quasar (the television I grew up watching), quarter, quiz, barbeque, torque….okay, so several words have q’s in them, but I bet, by God, a lot of kids couldn’t spell “technique” in 3rd grade.

Where was I going with this?

Oh, yeah, since I didn’t throw a “ck” in the word, my teacher gave me a “Hey, Dumbass, I Can Spell Words With “Q” In Them And You Can’t Award.” and I was over the damn moon.

The point is, I really like receiving awards. I guess I could have just come out and said that. But, I’m Qrazy. Ahem, crazy.

A wonderful gal at Confessions of a Thrift Shop Mom  nominated me for a Liebster Award. I’m so glad that she did because I discovered her and got a chance to check out her blog and was enthralled with her posts about thrift stores and tips for consignment sales. She has a lot of interesting things going on over there. Mosey on over and see. Tell her I sent you for a free replacement tank of Blue Rhino propane. Psyqhe! Ahem, psyche!

Like the “Hey, Dumbass, I Can Spell Words With “Q” In Them And You Can’t Award,” this one also comes with some rules. The rules for the “HDICSWWQITAYCA” included things like not stealing other kids pudding cups and making a point to spell things with q whenever possiqle. Ahem, possible.

So, the Liebster Award comes with the following stipulations:

  1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog
  2. You must link back to the presenter on your blog
  3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog
  4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs you think deserve some recognition.  Remember they have to have 200 followers or less when presented with Liebster!
  5. Make sure you let the bloggers you nominated know they have a Liebester! Leave a comment on their blog. DM on twitter.  Facebook post – however you normally get in contact with them.

So, who do I like well enough to nominate them for such a prestigious award?

And the nomiquees are:  Ahem, nominees.

  1. Karine at 2U, Love Mom. I love this blog. She has a really precious kid and she tells him a lot of really precious and funny stuff. Checq it. Ahem, check it.
  2. Katie at The Somewhat Sane Mom. She makes me laugh and I want to go bar hopping with her. Enough said. Check it.
  3. Angry Pilot Wife. She’s so funny she once made me choke on a cracker smothered in Nutella. Check it.
  4. 5 Things About Nothing Important. What a clever idea. She hits on 5 things about different things. And all 5 things are stellar things. Check it.
  5. Robin at Thoughts and Reflection. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll crave Doritos and chocolate milk. No, you won’t, but check it.

Now! I’m off to hook up the old Nintendo and play some Q-bert!

Thank you for the award… it’s such a great thing to do. Help and be helped kinda deal! Now, if only I actually had people reading my blog, it might help the poor five blogs I nominated! Ah well, I guess it’s the thought that counts, right…?

FYI, I hate that saying… it’s like telling someone well I thought of buying you a Mercedes but didn’t… but at least I thought about it! The other person is thinking: What an asshole!!!

But in my case, I really did try to buy the Mercedes. I just don’t think it’s gonna get delivered (not enough funds!).

  3. I could not spell that damn award for the life of me…I can’t tell you how many times I had to scroll, or flip a tab, to make sure I was spelling leibster right…shit did it again! I’ll be checking out your nominees! can’t wait
